Welcome to the world of KnitKits

This is the KnitKits blog, where I will show you how I find inspiration for my designs.
I always have a camera or phone on me and many of my designs start as a photo taken on my wanderings.
When I was 17 I started (but never finished!) a graphic design course at Brighton Art College, this was my introduction to designing. I love drawing small, precise graphic images, which transfer wonderfully onto squared paper - and as Fairisle is one of my favourite knitting techniques it was the perfect start. That was nearly 50 years ago, my career has always been involved with knitting but I have not always had the time for designing.
2020 brought along an enforced break from my normal routine of running Knitting holidays in France so I decided it was time to get back to my roots.
So watch this space!
