Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying some sunshine wherever you are. We are having a bit of a rest after the first 4 knitting holidays this year. It has been so lovely to have a house full of crafters again and be able to share ideas and inspiration.
There have been some fantastic projects on the go, you can see what we have been doing by checking out the last 9 posts on the blog here.
Due to a cancellation we have two spaces available in a twin room on the knitting and crochet retreat 11th to 18th October 2022. Those are the last two spaces left for this year. For further details email firstname.lastname@example.org The 2023 holidays are filling up fast with some weeks fully booked already. See below for availability.
It is a beautiful warm and sunny day here in France, lockdown, Brexit and the American election all seem a world away. Whilst it is not very seasonal weather the latest Covid restrictions have made me start to think of Christmas. It looks like it will be a fairly quiet one for us, with no hope of seeing the family and the possibility that we may still be in lockdown so unable to even share the day with friends. To overcome these gloomy thoughts, the only solution is to make the house as cheerful as possible. I have always left decorating the house until the week before Christmas day, but I think this year they might start creeping in before the end of November!
This colourful Robin cushion is the first in a series of designs inspired by my rambles through the countryside. You can see some of my inspiration here.

We have just one week left next year with spaces still available, this is the knitting and crochet retreat that runs from the 30th October to 6th November. It will be the perfect opportunity to sit down and make all those gorgeous Christmas gifts for family and friends, plus of course some outings for retail therapy and plenty of relaxation.
